02/19/80 Bon Scott RIP & AC/DC @ CBGB

Was just reminded that today marks the 30th anniversary of the passing of legendary AC/DC vocalist Bon Scott who was just 33 years old when he died in London on this day in rock history.

(Photo by: Bob Gruen) Here's a great shot of Bon Scott era AC/DC, opening for the Dictators at CBGB in NYC in August 1977....

...and a recording of the band doing "She's Got Balls" from the same show.

Saw the band and met the man in '75.

Seems like a lifetime ago now.

R.I.P. Bon.

Wow, very cool Jetboy. Not too many people can say they met Bon Scott. That's really really cool. And '75 WAS a whole lifetime ago. I was 5 then and I'm practically an old man now. Well, not really, but close LOL!!
